Does “Reset Network Settings” delete the old AirPods from my Settings app?

I’m on iOS 14.3 and my first pair of AirPods got stolen. I wanted to keep those saved in my Bluetooth settings so I can easily grab the Serial Number should the situation ever arise (FindMy showed it last near my home [within 500 meters], but I’ve done a thorough spring cleaning to try and find them and they’re definitely not inside.

Anyways, my new AirPods keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my phone (something the previous ones never did). I’ve done some other basic troubleshooting, and now I was going to delete my network settings to see if that fixes it. However, I wanted to keep the old pair of AirPods in my Bluetooth settings so that the Serial Number can still be pulled at any time... does “Reset Network Settings” delete the old AirPods from my settings app?

*The old AirPods worked flawlessly on my iOS 14.3 iPhone as well, so I’ve ruled out iOS version.

Hi DimitriH,

Typically resetting network settings doesn't impact Bluetooth devices that are connected to your iPhone. It will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before. With that being said, resetting your network settings may not help with the issue you've noticed either.

Installing the latest software can help with overall performance, so it's a good idea to start there. The latest iOS version is 15.4.1, and you can use these steps to install it: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If updating doesn't help, follow the steps in the first section of this article: If your AirPods won't connect.

Best regards.

Thanks for the information MVegas!

As far as that link goes, that was actually the I used previously for my troubleshooting.

Now unfortunately, me being on iOS 14.3 is critical to make my device be, in a nutshell, on iOS 25 (twenty-five)... not sure if the term can be used on an official Apple discussion board, but I’ll leave it to you to *uncover* what I mean by that ;)

Anyways, I may just reach out to Apple to discuss if it’s maybe the AirPods themselves... seems a little odd that nothing has changed except the AirPods and these issues are arising.

Thanks again!
