Android tablets won't tether to iPhone hotspot

My iPad would tether to my iPhone hotspot, but neither my Android tablet nor my Kindle Fire would "see" the iPhone hotspot.

Answer:

On the iPhone Personal Hotspot settings screen (under Cellular), at the bottom, is a switch labelled "Maximize Compatibility." Switch that on. Voila. Both the Android tablet and Kindle Fire now show the iPhone hotspot in the list of available Wifi networks.
