shared calendar does not share alerts prior to the event

shared calendar does not share alerts prior to the event

I share a calendar with my partner, she often adds events which i get notified of, however she sets alerts for 1 week or 1 day or 1 hour prior to the event starting, the event shows on my calendar but shows as no alert, i have missed a few events and been in trouble because she says, "it is on the calendar why did you not know"

so is there a way to not only share the event but to also share the alerts prior to the events starting?

Hey admin247,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have some issues with shared calendars and alerts. We are happy to help!

When you share a calendar, the alerts do not get shared as well. Each person a Calendar is shared to can set up an alert.

Thank you for your reply, apparently this wasn’t the case previously

after an hour online with apple support and 2 hours in an apple store, a reset iPhone 13pro max, they then set up a shared calendar on 2 other iPhones and tell me the same as you just did

is it something Apple will bring back?
