printing entire thread from iMessage

Is there anyway to do this? I see all sorts of patchwork responses and apps and external mechanisms to print out entire threads. (When dealing with legal and someone messages dozens of times everyday starting at 0500 there are too many to just select one message at a time). It seems like it shouldn't be dependant on an OS or version (Monterey). Are we supposed to connect to a computer and perform some machinations there?

Really shouldn't be this hard (IMO).
