Can MacOS place a USB device / Xbox controller / Mayflash adapter on an exclude to connect list?
2021 MPB, had a Mayflash NS 2 USB-A gaming adapter connected via both a USB-C to A hub and a straight USB-C to A adapter. I kept on plugging and unplugging it numerous times within a span of a couple of minutes, trying to get a bluetooth controller to connect. Suddenly the MBP refuses to recognize and power the Mayflash gaming adapter. I reset the USB ports in the terminal, reboot, and it still doesn't work. Plugging in other devices, phones, external HD, usb mouses, keyboard, still works perfect on any of the three USB C / thunderbolt ports using the hub, USB-A to C adapter and directly into the USB-C/thunderbolt ports.
Additionally, my wired Xbox controller is no longer recognized by the MBP as well. Doesn't even get a power on light.
Outside the MBP, the Mayflash adapter and Xbox controller still works perfectly in my PC laptop and in my car, but for some reason, the adapter won't even power on anymore on the Mac.
This leads me to believe the OS somehow is excluding the Mayflash and the Xbox controller to prevent hard to the system or something, thinking it was malicious.
Also, I've been using Controllers Lite from the Appstore to see the controllers and inputs from the various controllers and gaming adapters. Mayflash doesn't even register when I plug it in anymore. The only thing I can think of is, MacOS recognized the device as some sort of malicious device from it's numerous plug and unplug within a span of a few minutes and somehow excluded it from being recognized and powered by the system.
I also have an 8Bitdo. the MBP and Controllers Lite app still recognize the 8Bitdo with no probs.
