MacBook Air (M1 chip): Need to rebuild corporate laptop after former user left company

We have multiple laptops that have been returned to inventory after previous users left the company. When originally assigned to users, we recorded the device in ABM. However, new users created their own apple ID and password. Now I cannot wipe out the drives and rebuild them. At every attempt I am prompted to use the original apple ID and password.

We now have also deployed Moysle and linked it to ABM. We were told that if we rebuild the laptops, using the recovery tool at restart, the laptops will connect to Moysle and start a fresh setup. It is now doing such a think. Again, we are prompted to provide the original apple ID and password.

Any advise and suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks

When you activate the OS, the Mac will check with Apple activation servers and if it is a corporate owned device, it will flag you to enter the admin/IT/user credentials in order to finish.
