I’m locked out of my old iPhone 6
Hello. I have an iPhone 11 now but recently found my old iPhone 6 I lost in 2018. Was happy until I couldn’t for the life of me remember my 4 digit pin I had put on the phone at the time 😭 I know so stupid to have not written it down somewhere safe.
I’ve read everything on Apple’s website about how I can erase/restore and all of that but I’m trying to not lose data like wedding photos, old texts, photos, etc that are on this phone. I haven’t connected my old iPhone 6 to my old 2011 MacBook in years so I know not everything has been saved. So sad cause I have some deceased friends and family whose photos and texts I don’t want to lose.
If I take legal identification and the phone to a a Genius Bar is there any way to retrieve all of this valuable to me data before the phone is totally wiped?
I’m willing to do what is necessary to prove that it’s really my phone so I can save this data that means a lot to me.
If not, is there a reputable service other than law enforcement who can bypass (break in to my phone) my 4 digit passcode I can’t seem to remember without erasing any data?
Ugh, I’m so frustrated and sad about this. Thank you for reading and any legit helpful suggestions.
