I was contacted that spyware was on my computer. They went in to secure it and charging me $1,550. Do you have a good relationship with SS Technology LLC in Las Vegas NV?

Does SS Technology LLC work for Appel in cleaning up a site that has spyware?

No. This is a scam. If you paid these people anything, you have been scammed and you should contact your credit card company to dispute the charge. If you simply received a message asking you to provide billing details, etc., delete the message.

Ps: You are not speaking with Apple here. This is a user to user only forum. But Apple most definitely does not employ any such services to rob you.

Neither Apple nor anyone else can "See" what is or is not on your computer without your giving permission. Thus every message saying you have a virus, spyware, or anything else is ipso facto a scam.

  • If you gave the scammers remote access to your computer, change ALL your passwords immediately.
  • Have your credit card company void the old account number and issue you a new one —the scammers now have the old one and will use it until you notify your CC issuer. DO NOT WAIT!
  • If you have other credit card numbers stored on your computer, consider changing them too. You have no idea how deep was

Do your homework...research the Phone number, the website, the reviews— not after it cost you $1,550.

No one can see into your Computer on line and make a statement like this out of nowhere...

"I was contacted that spyware was on my computer"

Apple does not reach out.
