Unable to renew Apple care +

I used the wrong credit card to pay for Apple care+. Apple instructed me to go in and change payment. Now that I have, Apple support and my email from Apple is stating that I cannot change cards and renew Apple care+ now. What kind of business is this? The phone hasn’t been in my possession over 60 days from buying it yet!

Let’s examine what you said.

  • ”I used the wrong credit card to pay for AppleCare +.” So apparently you have purchased AppleCare+, and paid for it using a credit card you really didn’t care to use. Nonetheless, you bought it and have it.
  • ”Apple is stating that I cannot change cards and renew Apple care + now.” Well, it sounds like the deed is done. “Renew” sounds irrelevant, as you are likely not referring to extending your AppleCare+ beyond the term you already purchased. Maybe this will help. Cancel or change the payment method for your AppleCare plan - Apple Support

I would very much like to renew but was told by Apple associate I could not due to “Apple policy.” Is this true in a card such as this? I did go to the link you provided to begin with to change the payment method. Doing this caused me to not be able to renew and Apple associate could not change this according to him. Has anyone had this problem? Thank you for your reply.
