Use to be I could go to the applications folder and drag them to the trash or go to the launcher and click and hold then click the (x). Since I just updated my system the Apple TV app is back and neither of the 2 methods work, so now how does one delete these unwanted apps?

Certain apps are now consider core services and cannot be deleted. Sorry
Well that is a very Microsoft / Google thing to do! Apple TV has no reason to be a “Core” app, there is no reason it’s need by the kernel to make the machine run. So if it’s not going to be easy does anyone know of a FreeBSD style CLI method to remove it?
I’m sure you are skilled in searching for an answer. They are out there. The problem is if you decide you want one of those apps back in the future. There are no standalone installers. You would have to do a complete reinstall of macOS.
