ALL is sending Spam to my account via BCC and their site will not allow me to cancel AOL.

LIL I just spent two hours with AOL trying to cancel my account. I went through all the pages only to get a error message saying my email is not valid. Even though I can go to AOLAOL mail and see I have an active account. All the spam or some sort of pretending to be from legitimate companies

AOL Refuses to address this problem as they only give attention to people with paid accounts. I have been passed to four or five different people. Two other people hung up on me.

On my iPad and iPhone there is no way to add rules.

Sadly, nothing in life is truly free; there will always be a cost…

Many of not all “free” services are monetised through advertising - and delivery of email that many consider to be spam. Often the only solution is to use a “paid” email provider, ditching the free account. It is unusual that you can’t terminate an account with a provider - but if you have difficulties, you can simply abandon the account and delete the account from your devices:

Settings > Mail > Accounts > [Your AOL account] > Delete Account

Ne aware that signing-up for online services, newsletters and some websites can result in you receiving unsolicited email (i.e., spam) - regardless of using a free or paid email service.

I did all that. Spam still comes. I’ve never had trouble quitting a program before. I stop apple from recognizing my aol accounts. But they have in BBC my real gmail address. All these come from Russia. AOL seems to ignore these spam/phishing emails. Companies that offer “free” services need to be held acc. If AOL did not make money on “free” accounts, they would not offer them.

This is a user to user only forum, in case you thought you were speaking with Apple here. We may agree with you, but then we don't have anything to do with AOL at all. And Apple doesn't own AOL at all. We also ALL get spam messages as it has become a fact of the digital life today. Just throw the message away is the only advice anyone here can give you.

ALL is sending Spam to my account via BCC and their site will not allow me to cancel AOL.
