I have deleted songs purchased on itunes, however the full space storage has not become available. How do I free up space?

When you delete tracks that are stored inside the iTunes Media folder they will typically be moved to trash. You need to empty the trash to reclaim the space. If that isn't it then check to see if you have kept the files in the media folder when deleting, in which case you will need to manually remove them before emptying the trash.
