Auto select search bar

Hi. Whenever I open a new tab, it automatically selects the search bar for me and I can start typing without having to drag my mouse up there to click on the search bar.


Today when I opened up Safari, it didn't do the thing. Is there a way to change it back?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.3

Try quitting Safari and when you relaunch it hold the Shift key down
