Data erase gone wrong?

I purchased a new phone and transferred data from cloud. On my old phone, I turned off find my iPhone but did not sign out of iCloud or iTunes before I erased my phone to turn in for refund. What can I do now? I still have my old phone but I can't do much with it as the bottom screen is cracked. Is my old data still accessible on the old phone still?

Sign into iCloud and remove the device from Find My.
