Personal Guide Data we add to Maps- where is it stored?

Where is my personal maps guide data stored? This is the information I added to my own maps app on IOS (11).

So far it has not reloaded to an iPhone that I reset when I lost my passcode. It's the same iPhone- with a new passcode. I'd like to retrieve it and Im afraid I've lost it. It seems to be connected with the encryption protected by the old lost passcode?

After I reloaded the iPhone with my backup from iCloud, I was asked to login again to iCloud and I was asked for both my new and old passcodes from my phone. Are my maps related to this encrypted data?

I have two options- according to the notice I received:

• I can re-enter my old lost passcode
• I can approve my phone on another device

I'd like to approve the old phone/new passcode on my Pro- but there is no prompt I can see to do this. Where do I approve the device?

On a side note- I am surprised that the iPhone maps app is not the same maps app I have on my MacBook Pro. It looks the same app but my personal guide data never showed up on the Pro app.
