Dock connector

Why is it that I have purchased 4 of the iPhone dock connecters from walmart and every single one of them after two weeks of use they no longer work? It’s very frustrating that I need to have my phone positioned a specific way without even a hair moving it to be able to use it.

XR doesnt connect to lightning dock I have 3 lightning docks at a central place in the house to charge our phones during the night. They seem to work fine. But all three new iPhone XR's don't connect to them. I went to an Apple reseller and there also my XR doesn't connect to one of their lightning docks. So it must be a software setting in the XR that I apparently switch on (without knowing) because all 3 have the same problem. Suggestions?

iPad 3rd generation 30 pin cable not compatible with dock Hi there! My neighbor gave me an old iPad, 3rd generation A1416. She lost the cable but I looked up the compatible cable on apple.com and purchased a replacement, a 30 pin/USB cable online. It does not fit into the dock. I fear that my neighbor may have damaged the port somehow although there is no visible damage to port. She has moved away and I have not been able to reach her. Short of buying another cable, are there steps I could take to help me discern the issue? Thanks!
