I created a shared album and my friend and I both added photos to it, but she only sees her pictures and I only see mine. How do we fix it?

Do you both have iCloud and shared albums enabled?
Assuming you do, you might have to wait some time for the shared album to update on each of your macs. You'll need photos open for the shared images to upload.
