2nd User Profile on one MacBookPro

My partner and I are using one Mac with two user profiles. How do I link my user profile to my own Apple ID?

My intention is to connect my user profile to iCloud.

Log into your account on the computer, then go to System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina or later), and sign into iCloud using your Apple ID.
