I have an iPhone 12 and it has Scratches all over it to the point my camera is Now blurry that I went back to my iPhone 8 just for snap
The first photo is the 12 camera quality front camera the back is fine second one is iPhone 8 and the 8 has worse quality but the 12 is just really blurry

You can also check with your local Apple Store for more details on any possible trade in value.

It would probably zero out the value for trade in. But you'd really need to enter it in the trade in estimator.
