Getting an "Uploading to iCloud Paused - Plug in your device and connect to Wi-Fi" In Messages App

I am also having this issue and it doesn't seem to be resolved. Moreover, I noticed the apple rep here said that it may not work in low power mode or when the device is not connected to Wi-Fi. Well, my phone is fully charged and not on full power mode, and it is connected to Wi-Fi and nothing. I understand it says to plug the phone in; the message will go away once the phone is plugged in, but comes back as soon as the phone gets unplugged. I can't walk around with my phone plugged in all the time just to get my messages uploaded to iCloud, and I know that you can obviously have messages get to iCloud and thus your devices without needing to always be on a charger. I am fully updated to 15.4.1 and using a brand new iPhone 11 that I just got yesterday. Any help or solution would be greatly appreciated.

Hello seaney_b,

When you first turn on Messages in iCloud, it can take a while for your messages to sync. Since you just got your iPhone yesterday, it's likely that this is still occurring. When you are able to connect to power, uploading should resume and that can be done over multiple charge cycles if needed.
