what you do not mention is your current macOS/OS X (?)—the original on mid-2012 Mac OS X 10.7.4 and a jump from here to Mojave is TOO big....

However I will add—

A mid-2012 MBP is quite capable of running macOS Catalina as well as your request for Mojave...

Same link as given above.

I say this because the last update for Mojave 10.14.6 (18G9323) was July 21, 2021.

the last update for Catalina 10.15.7 (19H1824) was March 14, 2022 ie still supported.

Mac Mini: Late 2012 or newer

iMac: Late 2012 or newer

Mac Pro: Late 2013 or newer; Mid 2010 or Mid 2012 if upgraded with a recommended Metal-capable GPU

Yes, leroydouglas is quite correct, a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 or newer will run Catalina..... and we don't know what your current MacOS is. Catalina is a fine MacOS, however it does end support for 32-bit stuff. Anything that's 32-bit or part 32-and-64 bit will not run at all. All apps and plugins have to be fully 64-bit (Catalina) compliant to run, and that may include printer drivers.....
