Adding an Android user to a family iCloud calendar, able to add/edit events

My family uses Apple devices, with exception of my brother, who has a Sony phone.

How can he, using the default Google Calendar, be able to see all the events we create, and create/edit events himself?

Couple years ago I remember hosting a shared Google Calendar, that Apple users could add to their iPhone/iCloud calendars, and add/edit events.

So can I do it the other way around?
