Hi Ron_can,

To use a photo from your Photos library as the Screens Saver on your Mac, you can go to Apple menu  > System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver, then click to select the Screen Saver tab, and select Photos in the sidebar on the left.

Cheers!

Hi Ron_can,

Just to clarify, are you not seeing the option to select it? If the the Source pop-up menu does not appear in System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver, make sure that a slideshow screen saver (Floating, Flip-up, Reflections, Origami, Shifting Tiles, Sliding Panels, Photo Mobile, Holiday Mobile, Photo Wall, Vintage Prints, Ken Burns, or Classic) is selected. It is normal for the Source pop-up menu to not be shown when one of the other screen savers (Monterey, Hello, Drift, Flurry, Arabesque, Shell, Message, Album Artwork, or Word of the Day) is selected.

Take care.

What exactly is not working? And which system version do you have installed? Are you using iCloud Photos?

On macOS 12 Monterey are some known problems with the screensaver when using albums from the Photos Library - for example, of the photos have adjustments applied, the screensaver is showing the unmodified originals, and when we are using a large album, only a subset will be shown. And the screensaver can only use photos that have been downloaded from iCloud and are stored locally.
