Airpods Pro Disconnecting from Bluetooth and disappearing from my devices

I have an iPhone 11 Pro and Airpods Pro running the latest firmware and software on both.

For some reason, my Airpods will disconnect from my phone and remove themselves from the bluetooth devices page and also from my apple id for no reason. I have tried resetting the airpods and conducting a network reset on my phone but neither of these work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

TIA

Hi malweather,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're unable to maintain your AirPods connection to your phone. Typically, this behavior is caused by wireless interference. You can learn more about how to isolate it here: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Symptoms of wireless interference
Any of these symptoms could be caused by interference affecting the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal:
Device doesn't connect or stay connected
Connection is slow and signal strength  is low
Bluetooth audio skips, stutters, cuts off, or has static or buzzing
Pointer movement is erratic or jumpy

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

Yep. Apple were useless unfortunately :(

However, I figured out what the issue was (or I think I did)

From what I gathered after conducting extensive research into the issue I came to the conclusion it is a conflict within the iCloud account and its Find my status.

I might have gone to an extreme way of fixing it but I ended up just rolling back to a backup from a few months prior to the issue and that seemed to fix it.

Apple seemed to think it was a hardware issue or that perhaps there was a disconnection struggle because of some sort of wireless interference. This isn't the case as if it was then the AirPods would only disconnect from the phone, and wouldn't disappear from your list of known devices.

I don't know details on what was going on exactly but restoring to a backup seemed to fix it for me.

Let me know how you go!
