Fitness Data

Hi! A few days ago I upgraded my phone. I’ve now noticed that all my years of fitness data hasn’t transferred from my old phone - only about 30 days. It should have all been backed up to the cloud. Is there a way to restore this?

it has some random fitness data further than 30 days, but none of the rings. For instance - it shows workouts that I’ve done, but no rings. It shows awards that I’ve previously earned, but those awards don’t show up in my awards area.

Hello ryerrick,

Congratulations on your new iPhone! To confirm, have you verified that Health is enabled in Settings > [your name] > iCloud? If not, you'll want to make sure that is enabled. Also, do you still see the awards on your Apple Watch? If so, restart both devices. You can find the steps for restarting your Apple Watch and companion iPhone in the "Restart Apple Watch" and "Restart the paired iPhone" sections of the following article.

Restart Apple Watch

In addition to restarting both devices, you'll want to confirm that you're running the latest iOS and watchOS on your devices. Those steps can be found in the following articles.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your Apple Watch

If you continue to have issues after those steps, let us know if you still have access to your prior iPhone and if the awards and closed rings still show on that device.

We look forward to your response!

Thanks for letting us know, ryerrick.

If the data isn't on the current device, and the previous one is not available any longer, the data won't be recoverable past what you already have.

You can follow these steps to Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch and to make sure your data is encrypted and included in future backups.

Hope that helps going forward.

Hello. Yes, health is turned on in icloud. I cannot see the awards on my watch - it mirrors exactly what my phone shows. I have restarted both devices. Both of my devices are also currently up to date.

I, unfortunately, do not still have access to the old device. Unfortunately I noticed too late that all of my data had not synced.

Its strange to me that some of the data is there. It shows complete data from April 1 on (so 40 days), but it shows partial data before then. It has the workouts that I completed using Apple Fitness, but it doesnt show workouts that were completed using third party apps (peloton, map my walk, etc...) It shows that I received an award on May 5 for a 125 move streak. But under the awards when I click on the move streak it says my longest streak is 40 days. All of my trends have been removed. It's very confusing that it's just partial data.
