using sharepoint from a MacBook or ANY device on OS?

I posted about this in MSFT forum a week ago. Lots of views but zero responses.

Maybe other Apple users can help? I'm on all-OS devices, and cannot access my employer's SharePoint, which they use for scheduling etc.

(This question was asked in Oct 2020 here (below) and there were no replies:

Are there any useful websites or "manuals" anywhere giving guidance to using Sharepoint from a MacBook? For example saving files, documents and images from emails into sharepoint (File> Save as in Windows speak) and the reverse ie accessing documents which are saved in a sharepoint)

Sorry to hear about your difficulties, none of that should have happened. It should have been a plain vanilla login.

I suspect the SharePoint server may not be set up properly and/or the instructions and permissions you have been given are not correct. Your IT people need to work this out.

In my experience you should have no problem accessing a SharePoint server from any Mac. I have had access to three different employers' SharePoint servers over the years and it was as simple as logging in. (And that has been with different Macs, different macOS versions, different browsers, etc.)

You would normally access the SharePoint server via your web browser and sign in with your SharePoint user ID & password. Once you are logged in you should be able to access folders/files as you would normally do through any browser.

Contact your employer's IT people about this - they should be troubleshooting this for you.

Many thanks. It doesn't work when I log into it via Safari or Chrome. It made me create an Office account, which I did (I don't have Office, this was on their website)... and it made my Yahoo email an MSFT Outlook email... but I can't download the PDF schedules from the SharePoint group.

I'll ask the admin... I get the sense she doesn't do much with technical stuff though.

So.... I have to move mountains to do this apparently but why? MSFT is blaming Apple, and sounds like Apple users are meh about it. Weird
