Calendar

When setting alert and choosing email, instead of my email coming up it shows an email address I haven't sent to for years. If I look that person up in contacts, it has a human icon. Apparently no other contact has that icon. I suspect that my email alerts are going to that person who is really a stranger. How can I get those email alerts to come to me?

Calendar Alert Issue Wondering why I keep getting automatic alerts set in my calendar when the default is set to none? I’m using my email as my default calendar. Sometimes it’s only one alert for 30 mins, others it’s 1 hour and sometimes it’s both. There’s no rhyme nor reason to this. Any help is appreciated.

what is purpose or function of having email accounts on Calendar? don't understand what email accounts has to do with calendars. I have multiple emails accounts and occasionally a calendar entry i write appears 2 to 4 times, if i delete accounts temporarily disappear. then I click on a date to add a new Calendar entry and the multiple entries of OTHER events in multicolors are added back to my calendar. Before I remove email accounts from my Calendar, it'd be nice to know why they are there. And if it's to suggest dates-events mentioned in an email, why does it appear 2 or more times. it's only in one account? I've had a real problem with my Contacts multiplying contacts to point that the app is practically unusable. Every key stroke get spinning ball. now afraid it's happening to Calendar.

Multiple Apple calendar email alerts Apple calendar is sending multiple email alerts for a single event. I have 3 different apple devises but alerts are only set up on my macOS mojave calendar (and all previous OS versions). It's always been a problem, but this past year or two it's worse as I've been receiving at least FOUR emails, multiple days at varying times, for the one same event — only one alert on one devise was ever set. The account goes through iCloud, of which I could find no setting to change there, and have checked the settings for the calendar app on my iphone 11 and my ipad mini but nothing that needed to be changed there either. I know others have had the same problem and Apple specialists usually answer by trying to give the same lame instructions for how to use your settings, which was mastered long ago and isn't the issue. I believe it's an apple problem and the way iCloud behaves. Has anyone else had & been able to fix this annoying problem? Thanks in advance.
