I have a notice on my iPhone "Update Apple ID Settings". After entering my passcode, the prompt says "Enter passcode for other iphone, not this iphone." I don't have another iPhone. What should I do?

If you are the owner or the owner has shared all information with you then to open Activation Lock:- If it is Activation locked, read here --> Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Learn how to remove a device from a previous owner's account.

If you are not the owner and do not have the Apple ID and Password then there is no way that you can get into this iPhone unless the original owner shares the Apple ID and password with you. If you are lucky you can get into this iPhone if they (owner) accidentally remove the device from their Apple ID.

I have the same issue. My iPhone underwent some repairs and they changed the motherboard. Now the notice reads "Enter the passcode you use to unlock the iPhone "iPhone".

I don't have another iPhone. This is the same iPhone.

The notice further reads: This passcode protects your Apple ID, saved passwords and other data stored in iCloud. Your passcode is encrypted and cannot be read by Apple.

All is good BUT I don't have another iPhone.

Then down below there is "Forgot iPhone Passcode?

In case I press that - there's another notice that pops up ...

If you can't remember the passcode for "iPhone", you can approve this iPhone from one of your other devices signed in to iCloud, or you can resent your end-to-end encrypted data.

"Reset Encrypted Data" ... "Cancel""

Well, I don't have another iPhone or other devices....

Glad I'm not alone and you understood the issue. :-) I don't own another Apple device - well in my name. My husband has a couple. Actually, this iPhone is a company phone and not in my name either. The issue isn't stopping me from using the device so I suppose I will live with it. Sigh. :-) Thank You for the reply.
