Niel, for our clarity: If you have Music (the Apple app) on your computer and devices, that's one thing, but if you have a SUBSCRIPTION to Apple Music, the SERVICE, that works through that Music app, that's a separate. It's confusing I think that the app and the service share the same name. Though I have the Music app on my Mac, I don't subscribe to Apple Music, but if I did, I understand that it would include iTunes Match. However if you don't subscribe, you can still subscribe to iTunes Match separately.


Am I correct on that?


I'm here investigating iTunes Match so I can eliminate the need for an old iPod and access my music from the Cloud though any of my devices: iPhone, iPod. That's why I need to know.
