Help determining what kind of charging cord I need

I own an iPad Model Number A2270. I want a charging cord for it which will plug into and charge off of a new iMac I bought for my wife. That iMac is a brand new iMac 24" in purple purchased in April of 2022. Can anyone help me here? Thank you.

Be aware that most computer USB ports cannot provide sufficient power to charge an iPad. Most iPad models require at least 12W (i.e., 2.4A @5V) to reliably charge, while many computer USB ports are limited to 2.5W-5.0W (0.5A-1.0A @5V).

For a computer to charge an iPad, the port is usually marked as being suitable for charging external devices.

Assuming that your Mac has a USB-C port capable of providing sufficient power, your 10.2” iPad will require a USB-C to Lightning cable:

  • USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m)
