Is there a way to retrieve a note, that disappeared after removing the lock on the iPhone?

Is there a way to retrieve a note, that disappeared after removing the lock on the iPhone? I already checked the deleted folder and its not there. I followed the steps outlined here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205794) on how to remove a lock and note vanished that very moment I clicked 'remove'. I have checked on other devices as well as logging into my cloud account but am not able to retrieve it :(
