External monitors with iMac 2021

What adapter do I need to connect 2 external monitors to my iMac 2021? I want 3 total monitors for work, no mirroring, and my monitors have HDMI cables. I have tried several adaptors with not luck, they all are for a Macbook, not the iMac.

+1, Apple is pretty clear in the Technical Specifications about how many external displays the 24" M1 based iMacs support. Please refer to iMac 24-inch - Technical Specifications - Apple, specifically:

Video Support

Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion colors and:

  • One external display with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz

Thunderbolt 3 digital video output

  • Native DisplayPort output over USB-C
  • VGA, HDMI, DVI, and Thunderbolt 2 output supported using adapters (sold separately)
