Rose gold macbook faded (arround palm area)

i tried to clean stain in palm area, with isopropanol. turns out it becoming faded. as lighting change, the fade seen even distinctly

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.1

Water only is a generally accepted cleaning advisement and then gently only with a slightly dampened cloth. Stronger solvents will inevitably remove the finish.


Excessive user cleaning is not covered by the one year warranty; for the extended care coverage you'll have to pay a deductible ... nothing is 100% covered under AppleCare + even if it is "covered" damage.
