How do I disable emoticon box?

For whatever reason, probably due to the width of my hands and the narrowness of the newer MBA and MBP 13" keyboards, I find myself hitting ^-command-space frequently (or something else similar to this, it's unclear) and causing the emoticon selection box to pop up uninvited.

However, under "Keyboard" I have no option to disable or change this shortcut.

How can I disable this emoticon box outright?

I never had this problem on a 16" 2019 MBP, but have it on 2 13" MBP and MBA on different macOS releases.

I have figured out that it is the Fn/Globe key at fault here - or more specifically, the 'Globe' key. It was causing the Character Viewer to pop up every time it's pressed without an additional key to complete a key combination.

I can 'disable' the Globe function - "Keyboard -> Modifier Keys" - however, that also disables any meta-combinations using the Fn/Globe key - like Fn-up/down for page-up and page-down, specifically. I can't seem to figure out a way around this.

I just want to get rid of the Character Viewer, not the Fn functionality.
