My SIM card has a carrier lock on it and I can’t use my phone. Why was this done and who’s going to fix it. I’m 65 , like alone and now no phone

What do you mean the SIM has a carrier lock?

What is the exact message you're getting?

The SIM comes from your carrier and can only be used to connect to the carrier that issued it.

If you mean the phone is carrier locked, meaning it will only work with one specific carrier, and you want to use a different carrier, you will need to contact the carrier the phone is locked to and find out what their unlocking policy is..
