Facebook will not load to iphone. I can only open it by going to the APP store

I had Facebook on my phone (iphone 11 pro max), while using it, it went black and froze. I deleted it and tried to reinstall it, but can only open it from the App store now. How do I fix this problem.

You did not delete the app. You only removed it from the Home Screen. It is still in the App Library.
