My husband's Apple phone is frozen and will not respond to trying to turn it off. I have removed the protective screen and the case. It continues to light up "slide to power off" but it will not respond to my touch.

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:
(2) If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.

The screen on my Apple phone is not responding. I have tried to turn it completely off and it will not respond to my swiping to "slide to power off". It will also not respond to clicking Cancel. I have removed the protective screen and the case.
