Troubleshooting Mac Bluetooth:

Five things to Try:

  • Verify the Connection:

See if the speaker is even seen:

  1. Hold Down: the Option key
  2. Click: the Apple menu
  3. Select:: About this Mac...
  4. Click: System Report... button
  5. Select: Bluetooth (on the left of screen)
  6. Look For: this Speaker

  • Try Reseting the Core Audio:

Type the following command in Terminal:

sudo killall coreaudiod

  • Restart the Mac:

Perhaps you've unknowingly installed an update, and all needs to rest. For, restart the Mac. See if it then works.

  • Boot into Safe Mode:

When you boot into Safe Mode, items load by default, with certain settings and caches set aside. So, hold down the shift key upon boot. See what happens then.

  • Create a New Administrator:

See if creating and logging in as a new administrator does the trick. There may be something misconfigured in your current user - something that is getting in the way. Go to: System Preferences > Users & Groups > Unlock > Click: "+" > Create the new administrator

Reinstall the macOS:

Seem to install it corrupt, somehow. So, reinstall the macOS. That should fix his syncing issue.

Go Here: How to Reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

I. Important: First, Back Up your Mac:

Prior to all of this, do you Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac? If so restore your Mac from it. If not, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always create a backup of your Mac, prior to making any major changes to it (i.e. new install)
