Has anyone managed to get a French Fold or Quarter fold template for use in Pages to make greeting cards or brochures?
I had one several years ago that I used with AppleWorks and my Grade 4 and 5 students to create personal greeting.
Here's a Pages template model for the same type of card.
The outside pages (bottom pair) are from the supplied template included with Pages. The Photo here is set in a mask that applies the white border and allows the photo itself to be resized to centre on the girl. The yellow-brown square and orange rectangle are shapes, plaved behind the photo. the text "You're Invited (patially hidden, as I made the photo too big for all to fit on the page) is typed into the shape.
Other pages of the card have text boxes, but could also contain images or shapes, if desired.
The card is printed on one side of the paoer, then the top half is folded down behind the bottom half, and the left half is forlted behind the front page on the right to form the finished card.
Note that the text boxes for the inside pages (on the top half of the sheet) are created and filled in normal orientation (like the box on the 'Back Page (lower left)then rotated 180 degrees to make them 'upside down' before printing and folding.
The two black 'fold lines' are included in this page only to illustrate how the sheet of paper is divided into four quarter sheet pages. In your template, use the yellow Alignment guidelines that you can drag out of the Horizontal and Vertical Rulers. Place then at the vertical and horizontal centres of the sheet to aid in placing objects on the four pages. The guidelines do not print, so they won't turn up in your printed work.
