How can I convert my "iPhoto" files to "Photos" ?
I left a large cache of photos in the "iPhoto" app and now that I updated my computer I need to convert them to work in the "Photos" app.
How can I do this ?

Thanks for the tip, but when I launch Photos with the Option key down, I just see what I've attached below. I should have said I have an iMac 2020 running Big Sur 11.3.1, and the iPhotos are in my backup external drive (Time Machine).

Sorry Niel, when I gave my first reply I held down Option and held the cursor down on the "Photos" logo and a window popped up with "Options" (3), "Open at Login", and "Show in Finder".
I just went back to retry and this time I didn't hold the cursor down but just clicked the logo and — up popped the window you referred to ..... PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!
Launch Photos with the Option key held down, click on Other Library, and choose the iPhoto one.
