please help me reduce my ipad text size

Check your Zoom options in Settings>Display & Brightness and/or in Settings>Accessibility>Zoom.

Also, check Settings>Accessibility>Display & Text Size

When done, perform a "forced" restart of your unidentified iPad model:

• On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top (power) button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
• On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

1. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness, then select Text Size.
2. Drag the slider to select the font size you want.

Alternately you can adjust the Zoom option on your iPad by going to:

Settings>Display & Brightness

or

Settings>Accessibility>Zoom.

You may also change the text size by going to:

Settings>Accessibility>Display & Text Size

After you’ve selected the desired text size, don’t forget to restart your device.
