iCloud Slow syncing

I have seen this problem raised by others. I use Notes to scan receipts on my iPhone and then the automatic sync with my Mac into Notes on the Mac where I process my expenses for work. It has always worked seamlessly, a few seconds after scanning in Notes on my iPhone it is in Notes on my Mac where I can just drop it into my corporate expenses system. But all of a sudden it has just stopped. Notes on my iPhone seems to be trying to upload the latest not on my phone but it just stays in the state for ever and the note never seems to make it across. I have resorted to emailing but just found a better solution. If you click the share icon and then send a copy option and select the device rather than say email the note is essentially pushed into Notes on the Mac.
