How can I open PDF files saved in iCloud? The PDF files I saved appear in pale gray and do not respond when I try to open them. How can I access these files? I am working on my iPad Air 3rd generation and it is updated to the latest software version.
Just to be certain we’re talking about the right starting point …
Presumably you’re using the Files app. You’ve gone to iCloud Drive > Downloads. You’ve seen a file name much like I’m showing here. (The file name ends with either nothing or “.PDF”.)
I suspect your PDFs are not malformed since you said they’re from multiple sources.
If using the Files app (as described in the article linked above explains) fails, then the PDF file must be somewhat non-standard and require a specialized app to access. In that case, search for “PDF” in the App Store and find an app to use.
Can you suggest a reliable app to use? I have PDFs from multiple sources including insurance companies and financial receipts that I can’t seem to open After I have saved them to iCloud. They appear as pale gray and don’t open when I touch them.
