Settings app keeps crashing when trying to connect to wifi

I got a new iPhone 13, running iOS 15.4, and when I try to connect to a wifi network that requires me to trust the certificate, my settings app crashes and doesn’t complete the process of connecting to that WiFi. I’ve tried restarting my phone, and resetting all settings, but neither worked. What else can I do?

Backup, restore to factory, and test, then restore from backup:-

(If the phone needs attention you will have to do this anyway)

If you can import your media to Photos or iTunes in a computer and copy important documents to a cloud server it will give you some resilience in case the restore from backup fails, or you need to ditch the backup and start as new.

If the problem remains then do step (2) again but set up as new without restoring any backup.

If that fixes it then it is probably a rogue app such as security app or a setting

Otherwise arrange a repair
