I have the issue that the fan in my studio display is running on max all the time, even if the cable is unplugged. Sounds exactly like the computer fan but realised that it is the studio display that makes the noise. I have restarted the screen several times, updated with the latest firmware but no luck. Anyone that knows how to reset the firmware?
I just received the phone call from apple store. They said they tried to reset and update the software but it didn't work, so they guess that there may be something wrong with the hardware, but they don't have the necessary parts for replacement. So they are asking and waiting for delivery of parts from other regions. It may take 2-3 week, they claimed.
Same as my issue then. Apple will send a replacement screen (after some fighting). But with a delivery time around 2 months.
Ok, interesting. I was told that the only way to do a factory reset is to visit an Apple Store. So, hopefully its helps if it is a software issue. But, more likely a hardware issue.
Did you ask for help from apple store?

I just plugged the sudio display and the fan noise began and like my intel macbook pro fan noise. It is constant, not stopping.
I took back the studio display to apple store to fix, no worker knew what happened to my screen. and I am stilling waiting for the reply form there. They said they will reply 2-3 work day.
