Can Focus work with Calendar?
I would like Focus to be able to sync with certain of my calendar categories. I.E. Work (I teach at a university with various classes during the day where it would be great for the phone can be a disruption if it rings. )

You can set Focus automatically turn on say, your Work focus, based on location. You can set that to be shared across all of your devices.
Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
You can also press and hold on the Focus icon in the Control Center. Then, Select the focus you want and tap the three dots. You'll have options like "For 1 hour", "Until I leave this location". I think that, if you have a calendar event, it may also show up there.
If not mistaken, Focus was introduced some where in Big Sur macOS 11 but for sure Monterey macOS - Both for Apple computers.
Since this posting is appearing in High Sierra - is the question pertaining to High Sierra macOS 10.13 or some other version of macOS
Can you explain more of what you want?
