System Reset

I am having problems with connecting to the internet. My MacBook Air will nr connect via DNS. The computer is supposed to connect automatically by picking the correct DNS Server. Unfortunately, there are no server choices listed. I have tried talking to my ISP, but they could not help me. So I want to reset the computer. How do I do that?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.3

Hi kevinmac0505,

If you truly want to reset your Mac and start over fresh, that seems a bit drastic to solve a DNS issue. Nonetheless, if you really want to do this, see this article: Erase all content and settings on Mac - Apple Support (CA)

Before you erase your Mac, though, have you tried starting up in Safe Mode and connecting to the Internet? If that works, an app could be causing issues with your Internet connection: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
