reinstall legacy OS blocked by 2 factor ID

I need to reinstall OSX 10.10 on an older computer. When I enter my apple ID and password, the computer treats them as incorrect. I believe this is because 2 factor ID is on for this ID and password, and the older computer cannot handle this. I get notified of the login and an authentication code on my other devices, so the ID and password are correct. But they are not recognized as such on the older computer. Help?

Does not help. Rebooting Intel based computer in any of these recovery modes brings up OS X Utilities options: restore from Time Machine, Reinstall, get help, disk utility. Reinstall brings up OS X Yosemite screen. Download requires signing in to apple store. Cannot do so. It says that ID-password combination are incorrect. They aren't. Still can't reinstall OS X.
