Safari quitting unexpectedly
I have a Mac book 12 inch , 2017. OS is Big Sur.
for few days I noted that the moment I make a search in safari, safari flickers and quits. Please help!

1. Force Quit Safari, launch Safari holding the Shift key down.

2. Startup in Safe Mode.

Download EtreCheck: https://etrecheck.com/maspro ,run it and post the report here.
Click “Click to download” button,
Open Downloads folder, click on it to open, and then select ”Open”.
“Choose a problem” from the popup menu box, and then “Start EtreCheck” in the dialog.
Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy report” .
Paste the report when you reply.

Yes, i also noted that Safari quitted when I clicked the Mendeley web plug in. I mailed Mendeley, yet I got no response.
Can I know how I can get rid of this problem of slowing down of the computer please? I thought I will add the references manually to my research without using Mendeley.
