Can you use multiple Apple gift cards on one online purchase?

I tried checking out with my gift cards and it said I could only use 8 of them at once. So now I’m wondering if the physical store has the same rules…because I have 20 of them and can only load two onto my Apple ID due to the age of the gift cards.

Yes, basically use several gift cards to purchase a larger denomination gift card. But in store, the limit used to be 10, IIRC.

I don’t know if this still works, but when I was an Apple Store manager we allow people to buy larger denomination gift cards to get under the limit.

As I recall a manager had to override/approve the sale, but we’d get it done. I also recall that 10 cards was our limit. Stores can sometimes do things online can’t. 😀

Do you mean like trade the smaller gift cards for larger ones?
